Reasons Why You Should Drive a Toyota

When you think dependable vehicles, does Toyota come to mind? It does for us. We’ve sold hundreds of Toyota models at Spartan Toyota over the years, so we know (and our customers know) that it’s a brand that can be trusted. Toyota has earned a reputation for safety and affordability, but some still choose another brand to meet their needs. So if you don’t want to take our word for it, we’ve researched our credible sources for their take on what a Toyota can deliver. Below are seven reasons why a Toyota (or two) should be in your garage right now:

Reliability

Driving a vehicle that requires constant attention and maintenance isn’t a great investment. But with a Toyota, reliability is a proven fact. According to the U.S. News & World Report, Toyota placed six sedans in their list of 18 most reliable cars for 2020. That’s a third of all the vehicles chosen, plus the 2020 Toyota Corolla was the top winner. Next came the 2019 Prius c in seventh, the 2020 Camry in ninth, the 2020 Prius at twelfth, the 2019 Yaris at sixteenth and the 2020 Prius Prime at eighteenth.1

Even the sturdy SUVs placed in their 2019 most reliable vehicles, too. The C-HR, 4Runner, Sequoia, RAV4 and the Highlander all impressed the U.S. News & World Report with their dependability.2 Talk about a trend-setter.

Safety

For Toyota, innovation in safety is a common practice. Toyota Safety Sense™ is the groundbreaking, intuitive safety system that’s causing competitors to rethink how they do safety, and it comes standard on nearly every new Toyota. When your Toyota comes equipped with this system, you’ll receive a fleet of features such as Lane Departure Alert, a warning that implies when you’ve drifted into another lane; Road Sign Assist, a forward-facing camera system that can read incoming road signs; Dynamic Cruise Control, cruise control that uses radar to slow your speed when the vehicle in front slows or stops; and Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, a system with more fancy cameras and radar that warns the driver of incoming collisions with vehicles, bikers and pedestrians.3

But of course, it’s just talk if you don’t have the titles to prove it. Toyota’s safety system has earned its reputation with accolades from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) for 2020 models: the Corolla 4-door sedan and hatchback, the Camry, the RAV4 and the Highlander all were chosen as IIHS 2020 Top Safety Picks.4 But it doesn’t stop there. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave 5-star ratings to these 2020 models: the Corolla, Camry, RAV4 and the Sienna.5 You can’t argue with the truth.

Resale Value

After you’ve enjoyed your new Toyota for several years, you might want another upgrade. When it’s time to sell, know you’ll make a good return. Toyota’s resale value is excellent, according to Kelley Blue Book®:6

  • Best 2020 Midsize Pickup Truck: Toyota Tacoma
  • Best 2020 Full-Size Pickup Truck: Toyota Tundra
  • Best 2020 Hybrid Car: Toyota Prius Prime
  • Best 2020 3-Row Midsize SUV: Toyota Highlander
  • Best 2020 Full-Size Car: Toyota Avalon

Or see what the U.S. News & World Report had to say about it:7

  • Best 2020 Hybrid and Electric Car for the Money: Toyota Corolla Hybrid
  • Best 2020 Hybrid and Electric SUV for the Money: Toyota RAV4 Hybrid
  • Best 2020 Midsize Car for the Money: Toyota Camry

As you can see, it doesn’t matter which model you choose. A Toyota will always yield a sizable return on your investment.

Versatility

Our well-rounded Toyota models are for everyone. That’s why there’s a variety of models to choose from so that you can find one that perfectly matches your lifestyle. For example: browse our SUVs, crossovers, sedans, hatchbacks, sports cars, hybrids, pickup trucks and finally, the minivan. It won’t be difficult to find one that you’ll love, especially with the option of customization through packages, parts and accessories. Your vehicle’s capabilities will range, too, based on the engine and transmission pairing, the drivetrain offered and which wheel and tire combination you decide on. For the versatility you crave, Toyota has it.

User-Friendly Technology

Once you get your hands on the technology in a Toyota, you'll wonder how you drove without it. Safety and entertainment both use world-class technology, but in this section we’ll just talk about convenience. The massive center touchscreen, hands-free phone capability, Scout® GPS Link, Siri® Eyes Free, Apple CarPlay®, advanced voice recognition and music streaming via Bluetooth® wireless technology, Amazon Alexa and Wi-Fi Connect are all standard in the Audio Package.

Eco-Friendly & Fuel-Efficient

You’re not only saving on gas with a Toyota hybrid, but you’ll be giving the earth more room to breathe. It’s an eco-friendly and fuel-efficient decision when you choose a hybrid from our lineup. Everything started with the Prius and the Prius Prime, but Toyota has also used the design of popular gas models and created a hybrid in the list of trims. Now the Highlander, RAV4, Avalon, Corolla and Camry can all be converted into hybrids. The 2020 Toyota Corolla and the Corolla Hybrid even received the title for the 2020 Green Car of the Year® by Green Car Journal.8 For guilt-free driving and a fuller wallet, our Toyota hybrid models are here for you.

ToyotaCare

And finally, there’s ToyotaCare, the no-cost maintenance plan that comes standard on every new Toyota model whether you buy or lease. ToyotaCare lasts for two years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first, and includes 24-hour roadside assistance for two years.9 You’ll receive reminders when it’s time for service and a little help when you need it.
